ALEXANDRIA - Funeral services for Pfc, Leonard Alan Roy, 19, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oba Leonard Roy, Rt. 2, Alexandria, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Karl M. Kyle Funeral Home.

Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery

Pfc. Roy was killed in action May 26, at Da Nang, South Vietnam when he was struck by hostile gunfire while serving with the First Shore Battalion, Marine Division, Fleet Marine Force.

He was a native of Anderson and attended Madison Heights High School before moving to Alexandria-Monroe High School where he graduated in 1966. He was a cross country and mile runner in high school and had worked at the Marion RCA plant before entering service in 1967. He attended the Church of Christ.
