MIDDLETOWN — Richard Hickerson, 67, resident of Middletown, passed away at IU Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, on Oct. 16, 2014.

He was born April 11, 1947, in Anderson, the son of Morris E. and Virginia Windom Hickerson.

He was self-employed as a carpet layer and worked for many years at Indiana Flooring.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Diana Kay Hickerson, in 1993.

Survivors are three aunts, Violet Whitsell (Ivan) of North Carolina, Shirley Retherford (Alan) of Indianapolis and Betty Hester (Dallas) of New Castle.

Private Life celebration services will be held at a later date.
