PENDLETON, Ind. — Gloria J. Richey, 63, of Pendleton, passed away Dec. 26, 2011, at her residence after an extended illness.

She was born Feb. 23, 1948, in Noblesville, and graduated from Madison Heights High School in 1966. She lived most of her life in Madison County, was a homemaker and was also a former member of the Anderson Chapter 283 of the Women of the Moose.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Gerald “Jerry” Richey of Pendleton; daughter, Tina Phipps of Middletown; son, Darrell (wife, Becky) Richey of Pendleton; six grandchildren, April (husband, Jeffrey) Smith of Anderson, Tyler Richey and Josie Richey, both of Pendleton, Destini Lanning of Moonsville, Preston Lanning of Middletown and Austin Sipos of Camby; and great-grandchildren, Uriah Smith and Izabella Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vergis William and Evelyn (Shaw) Kissack.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home with Pastor Claude Creel officiating. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
